I love your show and tell, such great finds! It just feels very special to see things that I know I can’t just google and order one.

yes, that’s the exact thing I love about these things so much. even if i find nothing i am interested in taking home, it’s basically impossible to leave without finding something i haven’t seen anywhere else before :))

Loved this, ET. I may be having a very meta-morning, but this quote feels so ridiculously profound rn, "It’s such a digger’s DREAM - and to dig, you need some real dirt!" 💞

Oh you GET it Traci 💗💗 It’s not just about a tag sale, it’s a life philosophy!!

OK, your footnote number 25?!? Truly you carry a strong genetic code. How proud she must be! Love the Duck Fat origin story lore.

Related to the sad letdown so poignantly expressed in footnote number 24, now I’m curious because as an adult I know what you mean about the chipped Precious Moments, but recently ran into some pristine Holly Hobbie (early childhood style icon) and Joan Walsh Anglund figurines at the neighborhood thrift shop where my inner 5 year old very much attempted to convince that they could live in that elusive future garden, under the lush ferns like the borrowers. What was the cultural context for the children who inhabited HH, JWA and the lesser PM worlds…back to the land pioneer nostalgia, Victorian nostalgia, the big eyed velvet children paintings? Yet another happy Saturday morning rabbit hole to explore thanks to the Duck Fat footnote treasure trove!

oh i VERY much had a collection of glittery ceramic fairy figurines that were PROMINENTLY displayed in my childhood bedroom (i definitely asked for them for birthdays, too) - it’s just the specific precious moments vibe wasn’t a good match for my mood hahaha. i will be doing some googling of joan walsh anglund immediately though, will return after i investigate more!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, ET, thank you! I’m here for the Etro (we were treated like royalty in their Florence store and the clothes are gorgeous!). Loved seeing Adrianna Pappel shouted out, a big name in the 90s-ish.

I agree: as great as online shopping is, there is something about a physical store and digging through all the crap. I love when “just five minutes” nets the cool stuff!

Awesome post, thanks!💕🤘

I mean, this is because you ARE royalty - Queen of the Closet!!

I loved Oddity too! So much that I did something I have very rarely done: watched it, then turned around and watched it again.

ahaha that is the TRUE mark of quality!!

I’m so mad I didn’t know about the sari exhibit. Otherwise though this post makes me so happy!
